Imtiaz Legal has been founded by Arif Imtiaz, who has been in the legal field for the last 12 years. Having worked with numerous international lawyers and law firms, he comes with vast knowledge and experience. He has completed his Masters in Laws from Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, and Bachelor of Law from the University of London. He also completed his Masters in Canadian Common law from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. He is also an Advocate of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. While Arif was in Bangladesh, he has advised and represented some of the leading international law firms and corporations including Microsoft, Facebook, Nippon Express, Honda, Pepsico, Discovery Channel, and Research in Motion (BlackBerry) on various Bangladeshi legal issues on a variety of transactions. He has closely worked for and with Allen & Ovary, Clifford Chance, Mayer Brown, KPMG, Deloitte, and some other reputed international law firms.

While he was studying, he was effectively mixing with the general people and key persons of the Canadian society who are already contributing to the development of the society. Thus, although having a long corporate legal background, he decided to start his own law office to contribute more to the needs of the people and small businesses around him. With that aim in mind, he is primarily focusing on Real Estate, Wills, and Immigration. Arif is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, UK, Bangladesh Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar Association, Dhaka Bar Association, and Bangladeshi Canadian Lawyers Association.
